MALCOLM TOMLINSON

Malcolm is an actor and horse racing commentator who lives in Beverley, East Yorkshire, with his wife
Judith and two children,
Eleanor and
Ross.
Malcolm has appeared in several of the major British soap operas, most recently as Bruce Baines in Emmerdale. He also played the college Principal, Mr Davies, in Hollyoaks and had a spell as Dot Cotton's solicitor in Eastenders. Other TV credits include Ron in The Chase, David Wallis in The Royal, Dr Cole in The Bill, Patrick Merrison in Doctors and Mr Harris in Bernard's Watch as well as featured roles in Cold Feet, Blue Murder, Upper Hand, Hearbeat, Grange Hill, Crossroads, Byker Grove, Kiss Me Kate, The Upper Hand, Boon and Perfect Scoundrels.
Film work includes Rick in Cafe Caseblanca for Endgame pictures and two roles in Catherine Cookson films for TV - Dr Stanton in A Dinner of Herbs and Henry in The Round Tower.
In the theatre, Malcolm appeared in the acclaimed production of A State of Affairs in London's West End. He's also worked in several repertory theatres including St Andrews, Basingstoke, Farnham, Sonning, Southwold and Chelmsford, plus many tours.
Malcolm is one of a team of twenty horse racing commentators who cover all of the racecourses in the UK. He has called the horses as far north as Perth in Scotland and as far south as Goodwood in the Sussex Downs and can be regularly be heard at his local track - Beverley. He calls on the dedicated

Malcolm is an accomplished rider and until very recently kept a horse of his own. He loves skiing and swimming, songs that tell stories and most of all spending time with the family, of whom he's immensely proud.
